CBSL Annual Report 2022  recorded  Pepper production in Sri Lanka

Production of pepper under the export agricultural crops has been noticed an increasing trend compared to production figures from 2013 to 2022 published by Annual Report 2022 – Central Bank of Sri Lanka. In 2022, its production has been recorded 44090 mt in 2022 compared to 23970 mt in 2020. However, the same report recorded the lower export earnings that are recorded by spices were driven both by lower volumes mainly to pepper and clove and lower prices especially for cinnamon.
